Demeanor started with a friendship. Isaiah Mark and Anna Phavong, both first-generation Asian Americans, became friends and shared a dream: a barbershop that feels like a community, where everyone is welcome and gets a great haircut.

That dream became Demeanor Hair Studio, on NE 42nd Ave in Portland’s Hollywood District. We built it for all people, whatever your hair, your style, or your background. Our barbers take the time to listen, and every visit starts with a real conversation about what you want.
